Outfit of the Day for a Chilly Spring Morning #OOTD

Early spring is always a little hit or miss when finding the right outfit for the day. In some areas, there's still snow, and even in California, our spring days can be pretty chilly. So, I'm obsessed with this plaid jacket! I ordered it from Poshmark, after seeing it in a pop-up ad. To be totally honest, I so rarely wear prints, so this plaid was a fun choice. You could duplicate this look when another lightweight jacket, paired with a simple short dress -- the key is to keep your dress to jacket ratio pretty even. If one thing will be longer, make it the jacket, otherwise it can look frumpy.
The dress is a wildly-simple black t-shirt dress that clings at the hips. It's a very affordable dress that I've worn so many times, because of its simplicity and fit. If you're curvy like me, then this dress will naturally cling at your hips, giving it a cute and flattering blouson effect. I've occasionally, wore a silver or gold conch belt to accentuate the hip areas, which is also a great choice if you want to create a curvy look.
I paired this cute look with ankle high western boots from Amazon that I find myself reaching for all the time. They're versatile, and comfortable, and are very roomy, so don't size up!
